Do you want to Volunteer??
Do you enjoy volunteering? Do you find giving your time to support and help others valuable? If so, we are looking for volunteer support for this year/s Let’s Move event! We need your help as we encourage families throughout our community to Get Moving, Eat Right and Stay Fit for Life! Join the Let’s Move team on May 6, 2017 for this fun-filled day and make your contribution toward a healthier community!

Volunteer Information
A few things you should know:
*Please dress appropriately and wear sunscreen!!! The weather forecast looks like it will be cloudy, cool and wet so make sure to bring layers if you are on the colder natured side.
*Please arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled arrival time. If your first volunteer time is 7am, just make sure to arrive promptly at 7am.
*Parking: THERE IS A CHANGE THIS YEAR!! All volunteers are to park at Northwest Middle School Parking Lot (5307 Pleasant Ridge Road, Knoxville, TN 37912), located off of Pleasant Ridge Road first!! (there is a side parking lot to the right when you enter the property) We will have a white City of Knoxville bus that will transport you back and forth as needed! It may take a few minutes so please just hang out until the bus arrives and we will transport you to VA Park! See map below and it is also attached for your reference.
(**If you have a friend that is coming to set up as an activity station leader for the event, they need to report to VA Park FIRST to unload and set-up. This is different than you!)
*After you ride the bus and arrive at the drop off location within Victor Ashe Park, you will check in at the “Volunteer” tent on the large field FIRST! This is where you will get your volunteer assignment(s), free t-shirt and can get any questions answered that you may have.
*We will be providing 1 free lunch per volunteer provided by Subway if you requested one on the Jot form you completed to volunteer. If you would like an additional lunch, you will need to bring cash to purchase at the event. We will deliver these lunches around noon!
*Once your volunteer commitment is over, you will report back to the Volunteer Tent to check out. After, you will proceed back to the bus drop off/pick up location to get transported back to your car.
*Please be on time and feel free to stay longer than you originally planned!
